Single Limit Sensor add-on for Hoist Elevator Controller
This item is for the Proximity limit switch needed for our Basic HoPEC 2 Floor System. (Sold Separately)
Since these sensors have no moving parts and are activated without physical contact, They are much more reliable that traditional mechanical limit switches as they significantly reduce the possibility of mechanical failure.
These sensors respond to the field of a magnet and therefore do not require physical contact to work. Simply place the magnet with it's South pole facing the sensor and the sensor activates.
Choose the senor you wish to purchase based on its function. They are different from one another, so be sure to select the one you need
Floor Detection Sensor "C"
Two of these sensors are included with the HoPEC System for use at the top floor and the bottom floor so you should not need to select this one unless you are adding a middle floor to your system or are replacing a damaged sensor.
Each floor has its own proximity limit sensor (Normally Open Hall Effect Sensors). These are required for the unit to know where to stop in it's travel for each floor. You will need one per floor (Currently, up to three floors are supported Labeled as "Top","Middle", and "Bottom" on the display)
Detection distance :10mm (effective detection distance 0-10mm)
Output : NPN three lines Output state normally open (NO)

Backup Sensor "D"
This sensor is included with the Basic Automatic Controller Kit for Hoist Powered Elevator so you should not need to select this one unless you are replacing a damaged sensor.
Two proximity limit sensors (Normally Closed Hall Effect Sensors) are used for the backup limit sensors which are used as a safety net in case any of the Floor Detection sensors fail for any reason. These are required for the unit to function. If they are not installed, the system is designed to prevent any automation.
